Behavioral Health Services
Resolving mental and emotional health challenges requires special care. At Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, we focus on helping individuals achieve optimal mental health in a professional, caring environment. We offer a range of services for adults, including diagnostic evaluation, crisis stabilization and treatment. Our behavioral health team provides care for a wide a range of mental and emotional challenges, from depression and severe mood swings to dementia and acute mental illness.
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- Psychiatrists
- Nurses
- Social workers
- Occupational therapists (consultative services may be provided)
- Chaplains (available upon request)
We offer individualized care in a safe, supportive environment, and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each person. Our dedicated 40-bed unit offers adult inpatient care services that are designed to help individuals work through acute mental challenges and resume daily functioning. Adult inpatient psychiatric treatment includes crisis stabilization, psychiatric and medical evaluation (or assessment), therapeutic care 24-hours a day in our newly renovated facility.
