Covid-19 Visitor & Delivery Protocol
Visitors
Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center strives to provide a safe environment for our patients, staff and community.
Effective July 25, 2022, we will adhere to the following visitor guidelines:
- All patients will be allowed two (2) visitors.
- Obstetrics/pediatric visitors must be the same visitors through the duration of the stay.
- Confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients may have 2 designated visitors for six (6) hours per day and must be the same visitors through the duration of the stay. Personal protective equipment will be required in these area, e.g. N95 masks, face shields, isolation gowns and/or gloves.
- Visitors must be at least 12 years of age.
- Visitors must wear a mask while inside the facility.
- End of life patients will be allowed visitors. Arrangements must be coordinated and approved by AOC or house supervisor.
Patient Instructions
- Outpatient Lab Testing – go to Hospital Registration desk.
- MOB Lab Testing – go to MOB Registration desk.
- Outpatient Radiology – go to Hospital Registration desk.
- MOB Radiology Testing – go to MOB Registration desk.
- Direct Admit – go to Hospital Registration desk.
- ER Patient – go to ER Patient Check-in.
- OB patients:
- If you have pre-admit orders, go to Hospital Registration desk.
- If you do not have pre-admit orders, go to the ER for triage.
- Procedure/Surgery patients - go to Hospital Registration desk.
Deliveries:
- All flowers, food, etc. deliveries will need to be taken to the main lobby registration desk during normal business hours. Deliveries will be taken to the appropriate patients.
- After hours deliveries will have to be taken to ER registration desk. Deliveries will be taken to the appropriate patients by security and/or transport.
Persons Awaiting Patients
Visitors can wait in main areas only if they cannot await outside, in vehicles, etc. If you choose to wait inside, you will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, required to wear a mask and will need to practice social distancing and stay within the designated area.
*All issues should be escalated to administrator on call or a member of administration.
