New Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon Joins the Medical Staff at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center

(August 3, 2018 – Poplar Bluff, MO) Daniel De Oliveira, M.D., has joined the medical staff of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Dr. De Oliveira graduated from Universidade Federal De Minas Gerais Medical School in Minas Gerais, Brazil. He then went on to complete a residency in general surgery at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. He continued his education by completing a fellowship in thoracic surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ and a second fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, TX.
De Oliveira will be joining the team at the Cardiovascular Institute of Southern Missouri practicing alongside cardiologists Rubina Mirza, MD and H.K. Reddy, MD. Areas of specialty and expertise include cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass, vascular and carotid procedures and valve reconstruction and replacement.
Dr. De Oliveira and his wife Barbara, who is a nurse practitioner, have two teenage children Alex, 17 and Nicholas 14. In his spare time, Dr. De Oliveira enjoys time with his dogs, biking and playing tennis.
