Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center makes nearly $1.5 million upgrade
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – Residents in Butler and surrounding counties will have access to a new interventional radiology system through Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. With a nearly $1.5 million investment, the medical center’s dedication to continuous improvement in patient care is again realized.
The new interventional radiology system is the next generation platform that allows clinical teams to more easily and confidently perform procedures, helping optimize the patient experience with consistency and efficiency.
“The large investment being made is a demonstration of our commitment to patient care,” says Chris Jones, Interim CEO at Poplar Bluff Regional. “Modern healthcare moves quickly. Advancements in technology improve patient care and the overall patient experience.”
Minimally invasive interventional radiology provides modern, safe, and effective options to treat a variety of conditions, such as angioplasty, biopsy, embolization, radiofrequency ablation, vertebroplasty, and cardiac catheterization procedures. These procedures use image-guided catheters and specialized instruments to treat affected areas of the body. Requiring only a tiny incision, these procedures result in less blood loss, less pain and quicker recovery for patients.
