5/1/2025
POPLAR BLUFF, MO – Poplar Bluff Regional Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center has been awarded the prestigious President’s Circle award by Healogics, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. The award is Healogics’ most prestigious recognition for centers that achieve clinical and operational excellence.
“We are here to serve the local community and region for all of their wound care needs,” said Maxine Theriot, M.D., PBRMC’s Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center provider. “Many of the advanced treatment modalities offered at large city wound centers are offered right here at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The sooner that someone starts in treatment, the better the outcome tends to be, so I encourage patients and providers alike to come in or refer to us early. Saving a limb can save a life.”
In addition to the President’s Circle Award, the Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center also won Healogics’ Center of Distinction, an award given to centers that achieve outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate of higher than 92 percent. They also won the Clinical Excellence Award, an award given to a Center that has scored in the top 10 percent of Wound Care Centers on the Clinical Excellence measure, which is the Comprehensive Healing Rate weighted by wound mix.
The Poplar Bluff Wound Healing Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.
Advanced wound care modalities provided by PBRMC’s Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center wound care providers include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. They also offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help accelerate wound healing.
“We are incredibly honored to be selected once again as a recipient of the President’s Circle Award,” said Megan Campbell, program director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center. “This marks the second time our clinic has received this prestigious recognition, and it reflects the unwavering dedication of our outstanding team of wound care specialists. Their patient-centered approach and commitment to evidence-based, advanced wound care continue to make a meaningful impact in our community. We are excited for what the future holds and remain focused on delivering the highest quality care to those we serve.”
