2/7/2024
POPLAR BLUFF, MO, February 5, 2024 – Congratulations to our recent Auxiliary Volunteer Foundation scholarship recipients, Cassandra Haldeman, Amanda Greer, Nicole Hicks, Elizabeth Aldridge, Haden Clark, Christine Colvin and Sandra Campbell.
Our Auxiliary Foundation awards quarterly scholarships for PBRMC employee’s, their children and/or grandchildren who apply, showcase a GPA of 3.5 or higher and are working towards either improving upon or starting their medical career.
Greer, Hicks, Aldridge and Clark attend Three Rivers College working towards their Associate of Nursing, except for Clark who is working towards his Associate of Health Science and is in the Occupational Therapy Assistance Program.
Greer wants to follow in her mom’s footsteps and work at PBRMC. Her mother, Cheryl Gulley, has worked for PBRMC’s pharmacy for 13 years. Greer is looking to graduate as an RN next May with hopes to work in PBRMC’s intensive care unit.
Hicks has worked for PBRMC for three years in laboratory services and is attending school to become an RN. Aldridge has been with PBRMC for 9 years as an EKG technician and is attending school to also become an RN.
Haldeman is currently attending Kentucky Christian University Yancey School of Nursing. She's hopeful to one day work in healthcare like her parents - who both work/have worked at PBRMC.
Colvin is attending Capella University and acquiring her Bachelor and Master’s in Nursing. She’s worked with PRBMC for 7 years as an RN in the Wound Center.
Campbell is attending Southeast Missouri State University and is working towards her BSN. She’s been with PBRMC for 9 years and is receiving higher education to be a “better preceptor for incoming nurses and nursing students.”
All scholarship recipients were awarded $1,750 each.
PBRMC’s Auxiliary is made up of volunteers who run the PBRMC’s gift shop. 100 percent of the gift shop proceeds go towards scholarships.
