Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Donates To Local Organizations To Honor Medical Staff Members On National Doctors' Day
3/29/2024
To celebrate National Doctors’ Day this year, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center (PBRMC) and its medical staff made charitable contributions to three local nonprofit organizations.
The day is set aside to recognize physicians for their skills, sacrifice and service to the community. But true to their ongoing care and compassion toward others, PBRMC physicians decided to select nonprofit organizations to receive donations in lieu of tokens of gratitude PBRMC typically provides them in honor of Doctors’ Day.
The physicians decided to support Animal Welfare Alliance, Haven House and Footsteps Medical Missions. These nonprofit organizations share several similarities despite serving different causes. All three are committed to improving the well-being and quality of life for their respective beneficiaries.
Whether it's advocating for the rights of animals, providing refuge and support for survivors of abuse, or delivering essential medical care to those in need, these organizations share a common goal of making the world a better place through their altruistic endeavors.
"The persistent dedication of our physicians to our community, demonstrated through their generous donations to these deserving non-profit organizations, exemplifies their commitment to giving back beyond their exemplary daily patient care,” said Clyde Wood, CEO.
These organizations will receive a portion of the donations totaling $6,000 on behalf of Poplar Bluff Regional’s medical staff.
